Allman boatworks began with Roy Allman in the 1970's
Moving to Muskoka, he wanted to start working at something that he could do with his whole family. His love for craftsmanship and the water combined with a love of the outdoors taking the form of Roy Allman Canoes. After some experiments in furniture making and other woodworking enterprises, they eventually expanded into classic wooden boats and restoration which now makes up the bulk of the work.
40+ years and 2 generations later, Roy's grandson, Quinn Allman, works alongside his father Don to continue the family business, collaborating to restore wooden boats and canoes and bringing joy to their customers.
